Melling Dub Farm is situated approximately ½ mile from Tosside and is sign posted from the B6478. It has the enviable position of being on the Lancashire/North Yorkshire border close to the Forest of Bowland (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty – which we can confirm!)
Surrounded by the green fields and next to a fast flowing beck you can relax and enjoy the nature close at hand as soon as you begin to breathe the clear country air.
You will see an array of wildlife from pheasants, deer, rabbits, many wild bird species & herons. We also see lots of bats on calm summer evenings and hear the calls of foxes and owls too.
 Arriving at Melling Dub Farm marks the start of a fantastic self-catering break, no matter if you want the relaxation of the rolling countryside or a more energetic time, you can be sure that our cottages will be your ideal home from home. Our own Free Range Eggs along with home cooked bread & cakes can normally be made available – unfortunately at a slight extra cost! Please let us know your requirements at least 7 days prior to arrival.
Staying in Magpie or Horseshoe Cottage, you'll find a well equipped kitchen & living room - but don't forget that there's some excellent local pubs with home cooked meals!
On our doorstep we recommend the Dog & Partridge at Tosside, The Plough at Wigglesworth & Hark to Bounty in Slaidburn. For a special occasion you may wish to visit the Inn at Whitewell, the Austwick Traddock and the Ribble Valley Inns Group also have several eateries locally.
